This Sunday Pastor Ed will be continuing his "Life in Christ" series from Paul's letter to the Ephesian church. He will be sharing a message from Ephesians 6 as he begins unpacking the different pieces of armor that Paul describes we need in order to fight the spiritual battles that face Christians every single day. Next we come to verse 16, as Paul mentions the next piece of armor we need, but this time he calls us to "take up" the shield of faith! Notice that the shield ins't something you wear, it's something you raise up!. You can have truth around your waist; you can have righteousness guarding your heart, and you can have Gospel shoes on your feet, but if your shield is down, you are still vulnerable!
